Ms.Howard's Legal and Ethical Philosophy

As a future educator, the two focuses of legal and ethical issues are social media and cyberbullying. Despite the other major problems within legal and ethical issues, I believe that the particular two issues are a huge mistake that children make when in a school environment. Social media and cyberbullying go hand and hand because without social media there wouldn't be as much cyberbullying that the students could access, meanwhile cyberbullying is a form of the emotions of a bully that happens online (all social media platforms) humiliating someone by discouraging or degrading them and sharing their information personal or private. This could have serious effects on K-12 students which possible will become negative on both sides of the screen, meanwhile this could lead to multiple problems in the school setting.

This is a video explaining how social media and cyberbullying could affect all the students involved in the situation. It is easy to bully online because you can't see the next person that you are expressing your emotion to or trying to be harm, this shows no type of emotion because there's no expressions that you can see knowing it is over a screen.

Social media is a place that you won't be in much trouble for especially if there is an anonymous bully making it easier for students not to care specially if a bully could possibly be spreading false information there not much you as the victim could do within the school setting. If a student tells they would be seen as weakened, if a student doesn't tell they could possibly be hurting themself because of the bullying situation which no one would possibly know because social media put a different view on students that go runs and tell.
