Ms.Howard's Educational Philosophy

When I think about teaching children, I believe children reflects off this teacher's energy and how they see their teachers handle certain situations that's why when working with children you have to be mindful of the way your teaching, how you're going to teach it, the different styles that your student’s learn, etc. Kids feed off of how you come to work, how you treat them throughout the school day, your tone, etc. Parents also, parents also feed off of how they kid responds after school and what they believe is best for their child. As a future educator my classroom will be a safe place for any students that need help, peace, to vent, to eat, to learn, anything the student’s need I and my classroom will be there, I will treat my student like they’re my own family I believe that's what all students deserve within an educator. My education philosophies are Constructivism, Essentialism and Progressivism because each of these philosophies provides student with a valuable life lesson but also educate them on real life experiences that could be happening to someone they know. All three of these philosophies creates a safe place for students in need of guidance not just in school but outside of the school building, as a student I personally know how hard it is not having a teacher that would be able for me and feel I am not learning anything about the outside world we are all living in.
